Folder Manager will allow you to perform different actions with folders and files. In this regard, it is very similar to a file browser, but it includes a set of useful options that are frequently absent from this type of applications.
Using Folder Manager will be easy because its interface does not have relevant differences compared to Windows Explorer. However, I must alert you that this program is not very attractive. In this respect, it definitely needs the work of a graphic designer to put each element in its right place. In addition, the icons on the buttons are not descriptive enough, and you could definitely get lost if it was not for the tip texts. Even this application’s icon can be confused with the one used for the Control Panel in older Windows versions. The program is available in two languages: English and Greek.
The real advantages of Folder Manager come from some of the options available. Apart from most common options like erasing, renaming, moving and copying, it will display folder size and let you change file properties, such as date and time. Additionally, it will support several filters, including the use of hidden, system, read-only, archive and file type properties. Furthermore, it incorporates backup options as well. Finally, it allows printing the list of files and folders.
For an unknown reason, this program generated overflow errors when dealing with folders that included many files and subfolders.
In general, you may find Folder Manager useful for certain tasks but not as a regular file browser.
